N*E*R*D Blow Up Roundhouse!

Tuesday 11th November 2008
9.10pm
Roundhouse Northwest London

Yes, this is the day I got to see one of my favourite bands in real life! N*E*R*D did an outstanding performance last night. Even though they only performed for roughly an hour and half; they kept the crowd entertained.

Anti-Matter, the first track performed was the right way to kick the show off. Even though band member Chad Hugo was no where to be seen, Pharrelle Williams and Shay Haley brought the whole of N*E*R*D to Roundhouse, this showed us that the band include a lot of young, good looking, talented men.

The band performed songs from their albums "In Search Of...", "Fly or Die" and their most recent album, "Seeing Sounds". "Everybody Nose's" was probally one of the highlights of the night, for at least the lucky group of young females in the audience. After choosing a handful of girls to join them on stage, Pharrelle then told his audience how, "We are all friends; We want to all have a good time." He did this quite a lot during the performance. "I didnt see any signs sa
ying no crowd surfing did you Shay?" Two seconds later a young girl was picked up by a group in the crowd, surfing towards the stage. After shaking Pharrelle's hand she was put back into the crowd to carry on enjoying the show.

After having glowsticks thrown at him, Pharrelle told us how he dont like that, "I love getting stuff thrown at me from the crowd, but what the fuck is up with the glow-sticks? What about the good shit, like CDs, panties and bras? Thats what im talking about". As you could guess, a pair of "panties" were thrown up onto the stage! His face expression seemed as he was impressed. When he choose three boys out the crowd to join them on the stage while performing "Spaz" he choose a white boy then said, "Yeah him the white boy, yeah thats right the white boy. Black, White, Mixed, Asian, Chinesse, Metal, Gold, I dont give a fuck what you made of, we are all here to party right? So thats what we gonna do!

Overall the show was a success, my highlight of the night was the "Rockstar" performance. If you have the chance to go see N*E*R*D I would recommend you go. They have something to offer for everyone! I would go again anyday.
